How to Install rdnssd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

rdnssd software package provides IPv6 recursive DNS server discovery daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rdnssd

rdnssd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the rdnssd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rdnssd *

You will get with rdnssd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
